Pigtails and patience

Children are notoriously tricky to draw. Their proportions are a challenge, and they NEVER stay still for more than a few seconds. Unless you drug them, but that is frowned upon in modern society.

So was pleased with this quick sketch of a girl at Edgeware tube station ( west bound platform ) She was waiting patiently while her Mother rummaged in her various bags for something her demanding younger brother wanted.

I got the feeling 'older sister' is a role she is well used to.

  1. That's great! Usually I manage to get them when they're occupied with something stationary...still, you gotta be quick :)
