Sunday lunch - although it was more like late afternoon really.

Continuing the loose food theme of the last few posts, ( and no I don't mean grub with dubious moral standards.)

Waiting for friends at the Royal Festival Hall. Was looking down on this couple debating how much to leave as a tip.

Mmmmmmm - cappuccinos.

Then these friends sat and ate fish and chips from a stand that was part of the British seaside theme they have going on there at the moment.

Mmmmmmmmm- salty vinegaryness

Now I'm getting peckish myself.

Dribbly cheese

Not a good drawing, but a great moment.

This guy in the window bar of Pret-a-manger. With his melted cheese panini. lost in reading an article, his lunch held, midway to his mouth, and the cheese slowly escaping out in a thin skein.

Ha !

Two Beautiful girls

Both on the tube.

Comfy chairs.

The foyer seating in the Durham Radisson were uber-comfy. With these big colourful cushions that I found mesmerizingly hypnotic.

I suspect this is exactly what is wrong with my Universe at the moment. Anyone who can be that distracted by upholstery clearly needs a good hard slap.

6 of 1

Combining the 'sketch the same person several times', with the 'speed sketching' thing.

This business man, minding his own business. Liked his sort of quiff.

As he moved I started a new sketch.

And then just got faster...

And a bit cartoony...

Very pleased with last few.

Look. Two lines. A whole face in two lines. Most excellent !

Durham ( or the mysteries of 1st class )

Took the train to Durham last week.

NOT first class I hasten to add. A young boy, traveling with his Mother, quizzed her about that mythical place.

" What's it like in First Class ? "
" It's alright."
" Is it comfy ? "
" It's alright. "
" Are there tables ?"
" Yes. "
" Every table ? "
" Yes. "
" Every table has a chair ? "
" Yes. "
" So you've been in First class ? "
" Yes. "
" And it's alright ? "
" Yes. Do you want a sausage ? "

Concentration

This guy was deep in reading a printout, his earnest focus in contrast to his summery day-out clothes.

He turned the papers over, started back at the beginning again, maybe this time it would stick, or make sense, or come together.

But the sun blazed outside, and those sandals had a higher purpose.
