This girl, her hair was such an undeniable red, and her skin was so pale, and enveloped in a big grey scarf, she was almost a tinted daguerreotype of a girl.

Limited colours, held in check.

Saracens

On the train with a load of Saracen supporters last weekend. Something I guess I will see more of now they have moved to their new stadium in North London.

"You probably get more on a dry wednesday than a wet saturday"

And, apparently...

" They wanted £350 to get a new phone out to the wife via a call centre in Egypt "

" £350 !"

" Exactly. I said we'd wait."

Amongst Giants

Changed my car the other week. At the wonder that is CarGiant. They claim to hold the record for the largest car lot in the world, and have the Guinness certificate displayed on the wall behind reception to prove it.

I don't know about that, but they must be in contention for the highest turnover of customers, and most efficient in parting them and their cash.

While I was waiting to pay there were at least 30 people processed thru the system. Sketched a few, as we listened for our name and number to be called.

And, for the record, the new car is great.
