Pigtails and patience

Children are notoriously tricky to draw. Their proportions are a challenge, and they NEVER stay still for more than a few seconds. Unless you drug them, but that is frowned upon in modern society.

So was pleased with this quick sketch of a girl at Edgeware tube station ( west bound platform ) She was waiting patiently while her Mother rummaged in her various bags for something her demanding younger brother wanted.

I got the feeling 'older sister' is a role she is well used to.

Three pieces of colour

Just playing with colour.

And pattern

And marks.

Sketches without stories...

A few sketches that I am not sure if they have been posted or not, so a quick sweep round and then I have a clean new slate to start with.

Think I might have overplayed his nose a bit.

What ever I intended to write with these ones I have long since lost.

So it goes.

damn caps

The cap needed several attempts to pin it down.
